- Ear or body piercing and tattooing

In 2016, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported a donation of 10.9 million units against a requirement of 12 million units.
i.e 1.1 M of patient losses their lives each year because they do not have someone to save their lives.
Only 37 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood – less than 10 percent do annually.
This all was hilarious for me! In between my eyes rolled to the poster walled in that room…

Actually Blood Bank has to put live data over notice board. Whence, I saw the Bar Diagram in one of the A4 sheet on notice board showing out of 100 only 3% of women donates blood, It was questionable for me so eventually, I asked about it to Dr. Rajpoot.
Dr. Rajpoot smiled and narrated everything so clearly ” Beta! That’s true Females are not equally capable to donate blood as male(frequency-wise) because of the so many reasons. Like they already losses units of blood during their MC-periods. Though that’s waste blood but that also weakens their strength.
Ohh! that’s why Khariya sir taught us in Farm Power Engineering ” Female has only 0.48 kw of power while male has 0.68 kw and iron pills are distributed among girls.( My mind wondered). Actually, I’m kind of volunteer of ‘Women Empowerment’ so, never used to accept when someone says women has comparatively less muscular strength than man.
After an hour when our ethos over with Dr. Rajpoot. What happened very deep inside of mine which is rare. My Heart, Mind and Body worked in alignment and shouted in chorus to my inner core, that from this Birthday I’m gonna make it very unique and special. That’s Celebrating my Birthday every year by Blood donation.
I went to the Dr. Rajpoot and asked, Sir may I Donate blood today because I’m 18 now and wanna celebrate my Birthday by donating Blood?
Dr. Rajpoot smiled on my courage to be the part societal change and asked to go and weight yourself first then we’ll see.
I went to weighing machine and waited myself. I was 5.10 fit tall boy but Just 49 kg of weight which was just close to eligibility criteria to donate blood. I went to Dr. Rajpoot by leaning. Dr. Rajpoot asked what happened dear? You may donate later yr, you’ve whole life to do so.
Achha! Tell me why you think, you can still donate blood at this day?
Sir usually I don’t feel tired not get sick and i’m a good athlete and I’ve great will power to do it (I answered with full confidence)
Your energy, courage and strong will power can allow you to do anything in your life whatever you wish. Go, do and be the part of societal change my son.( Dr. rajpoot said)
I lay down on the blood donating bed after filling the T&C form for Blood donation.
Finally, suction of blood is started by machine to the 350 ml blood bag from my left hand for about 5 min period.
It’s done! at the end doctor gave me a cup of sweat milk mixed with dry fruits and Biscuits. and said to take rest for 5-10 minutes. And then certificate is given.
I was feeling like everything is going on in slow motion, world is so beautiful, and now I’m being the true part of this beautiful world. When I was passing from general ward with one hand folded(from which I donated blood). I could feel the vibes of blessings flowing in the air emitted from those patients were in-debt pain and joining to me. I would not be able to elaborate those feeling in words.
And, since then my journey started.
I donated blood 4 times in 4 years of my graduation program sometimes Blood bank, sometimes patient. Some of my friends also joined me for this beautiful ‘venture of selfless giving’ and we started a group called “Life Drop” in Facebook. We’d all groups of blood. sometimes we used to take random visit to the hospital to just inquire whose life is saved by our blood. In between, we not only donated dozens units of blood but also motivated no. of pupils to do so. Even promoted to those husbands who were even not donating their blood to their wives who is gonna be the mother of their own child. I saw no. of cases when people left their loving once in hospital itself to die because they could not arrange blood to save their lives.
This journey was in wonderful pace, but broken on Oct31, 2019. when, I first time differed to donate blood the reason was not enlisted in the following pre-Blood donation precautions…
- Get plenty of sleep the night before you plan to donate.
- Eat a healthy meal before your donation.
- Avoid fatty foods, such as hamburgers, french fries or ice cream before donating. Tests for infections done on all donated blood can be affected by fats that appear in your blood for several hours after eating fatty foods.
- Drink an extra 16 ounces (473 milliliters) of water and other fluids before the donation.
- If you are a platelet donor, remember that you must not take aspirin for two days prior to donating. Otherwise, you can take your normal medications as prescribed.
- And much more as enlisted in Blood donation form.
It was mental illness, My sweat-heart had fought with me in a very worse manner just because of some fidelity and trust issues so, I had courage to celebrate my ritual as usual but mental weakness defeated me and when I went to give blood for sampling I fainted for minutes and this way I differed to donate blood 1st time out of five times. Even this time my BMI was very good weighing about 64 kg of weights. End of the day I found our strength is in our mind not in our muscles or fitness.
What actually happened that day I’ll take you that dive too but not in my blog but in my very first novel.
Since, that day was black day to do my Birthday ritual and made me remembrance forever. So, I may opt her birthday to do my lifetime ritual.
This will be my gift to her life forever.
Because, She kept ‘Karwa-Chauth Vrit’ once for my long-life. I don’t believe in worshiping of GOD. But, I’ll collect devotions over the whole period of my life for her long and prosperous life every year by donating blood on her Birthday or on behalf of her B’day( If someone needs in between). That’s my way of loving someone from every single drop of my blood.
So, from now my Birthday ritual may be opted on April 27 every year or on behalf of April 27.
Your mother’s blood runs in your body that you call blood relationship and love among a mother and her child is only unconditional in this planet. Take a deep breadth…!! and think ‘ What if your blood will run in someone’s body and peculiarly in someone’s Mother’.
Lets spread the unconditional love in this beautiful world among beautiful souls.
